A collaborative project between Studio Wieki Somers and Alexander McQueen was showcased at the 2015 edition of the Salone Del Mobile in the Alexander McQueen Milan boutique. Wallpaper Magazine hosted an event in-store, to celebrate this partnership.
Inspired by the Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2015 collection, the installation, entitled Blossom Rain featured three geisha warriors holding a series of lamps, against a blossom haze backdrop. The haze was created by a series of lasercut textiles, provided by Europe’s leading manufacturer of design textiles, Kvadrat.
